My mission
Hi, my name is Michelle.
I’m 45 years young and a proud mum to 4 beautiful kids. When I was diagnosed, they were just 2, 4, 11 and 12.
I want to see a future without breast cancer.
In July 2015, my whole world turned upside down. I was diagnosed with a rare and invasive lobular breast cancer.
My journey to finding out I had breast cancer wasn’t straightforward. There were a lot of false negatives before they found a 7 x 5cm malignant tumour.
Then it was a whirlwind. An emergency mastectomy was advised, and just like that… my right breast was removed.
My kids didn’t understand what was going on, and I didn’t have a very supportive partner at the time. It broke my heart that they had to go through this… 💔
But I was determined to stay strong for my kids, and I made a promise to my daughters that I would keep fighting to raise awareness about breast cancer.
Because I want to see a future where my daughters and other women can protect themselves from this horrible cancer.
My mission is to raise $50,000 for breast cancer research, so that young women don’t have to go through what I did.
Please join me to fund breast cancer research to protect our loved ones and save lives.
