Led by So Brave, the Pregnancy and Postpartum Associated Cancers (PAC) Project is a national initiative working to improve health experiences and outcomes for pregnancy and postpartum associated cancers.
The project brings together patients, lived experience advocates, clinicians, researchers, policymakers, and community organisations to better understand the experiences and needs of people affected by PAC and identify opportunities for meaningful improvements across the care continuum.
As a cross-cancer initiative, the PAC Project considers the diverse experiences of people diagnosed with a range of cancers during pregnancy and the postpartum period, including breast, ovarian, bowel, lymphoma, leukaemia, cervical, melanoma, and rare cancers.
The project is funded by the Australian Government through the Cancer Patient Support Program (CPSP), and So Brave gratefully acknowledges this support.
The PAC Project is developing a first-of-its-kind PAC National Training Toolkit to improve awareness, diagnosis, care, and support for pregnancy and postpartum associated cancers. The Toolkit will include clinical and patient portals with educational e-learning modules, webinars, patient stories, multidisciplinary learning materials, and practical tools for navgating pregancy and postpartum associated cancers. The portals are being developed in collaboration with patients, clinicians, researchers, and partners to support improvements health experiences and outcomes nationwide.
The National Toolkit will include:

PAC Patient Portal
Co-desiging meaningful, practical and culturally relevant information and resources for patients, partners and families.
